Questions
Who may open a trade account?
Interior designers, architects, decorators, hospitality and contract specifiers, developers, stagers and retail showrooms. We ask for a business email, a website or portfolio, and a resale certificate or tax ID where applicable.
How do I see the tile collections?
The tile collections are reserved for the trade. They are not shown or sold on the website, and are released to approved accounts only. Once your account is open, your contact will send the catalogues and net pricing, and arrange samples.
What is the trade discount?
Net pricing applies across every category. The rate is confirmed on approval rather than published, as it varies by category and by volume. Your contact will put it in writing before you specify.
What do memos cost?
It depends on the material. Some samples are complimentary where stock allows; others are charged, and trade accounts pay a reduced rate. Embroidered and mirrorwork samples are quoted individually, as each is made by hand. Ask your contact and we will tell you before you order.
Can you make a design that does not yet exist?
Yes, and it is a significant part of our work. Send us a reference — a painting, a photograph, a length of cloth — and we will have it drawn by hand and coloured to your scheme, then made as printed paper, hand embroidery or mirrorwork. Artwork is proofed for your approval before production.
Can a design be adjusted to my room?
Murals can. Send elevations with dimensions and openings marked and we return a layout drawing keyed to them, with panels numbered in sequence for the installer; scale, colourway and panel layout are worked to the room. Printed collection papers run as designed and cannot be altered — for a changed colourway or repeat, the route is bespoke.
Can you source something you do not carry?
Often, yes. We work with makers across India and the Middle East, including Dubai, in brass, stone, inlay, embroidery and hand knotted carpet. Send the brief with dimensions and a budget range and we will tell you honestly whether we can do it and how long it will take.
What are the lead times?
The majority of what we carry is made to order or produced in small batches, and ships in three to five weeks. Bespoke work, hand embroidery and mirrorwork take longer and are quoted by project. Dates are confirmed in writing before you commit to a client.
Can you deliver to a job site?
Yes. Give us the site address and a contact for delivery and we will send it there rather than to your studio.
How does tax exemption work?
Send a valid resale certificate for your state and we will mark the account exempt. Until it is on file we are required to collect sales tax.
