ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Meraj N. Mirza is a member of the Makkah Province Board and a visiting scholar at Harvard University’s Center for Geographic Analysis. Mirza is also an associate professor in physical geography at Umm Al-Qura University in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. He has published several books, including The Digital Illustrated Atlas of Makkah and the Holy Environs, Makkah from the Sky: Past and Present, Atlas of Makkah Maps and Historical Sites in Makkah.
